A surgically directed critical care under level I covers the application of pre and post anesthesia services and speedy transfers. The full range of specialist and equipment deployed at Level I trauma centers must be at the workstation to provide 24-hours care. Trauma care centers that offer Level III care must be prepared to provide prompt assessment, resuscitations and emergency service operations. Level IV trauma care centers typically provide initial patient evaluation and related services.
